Birthday and Cremation Day
Today we chose to spend the day with our sister and celebrate her 53rd birthday. On the other side of the world my family celebrated the life of Mon Chaisurat, my grandmother as she was cremated. Both celebrations are important in the cycle of life. It is important to recognize people during their lives as well as when they have passed on. Our relationships with others make us who we are. In the celebration of a life after death, it is a time for the living to gather and remember the person they have lost. We will see each other again, but it is just as important when the person is living to let them know how they are important to you.
